It is important to recognize that men can also be victims of sexual assault or abuse, and they may experience similar emotions and responses as other survivors. However, men may face additional obstacles due to societal attitudes and stereotypes surrounding masculinity. Regrettably, the issue of sexual assault against men often lacks the seriousness it deserves, leading to difficulties in reporting and contributing to significant under-reporting of male sexual assault rates. It is crucial to foster open conversations and normalize discussions surrounding this topic to bring about liberation for individuals and society, combating the epidemic of child sexual abuse and its enduring consequences.
